No, home care agencies must use Authenticare as their EVV provider. It is closed state model. The State of Alabama will only pay for Medicaid services provided and verified in the AuthentiCare aggregator.
Under the new mandate, the EVV system must verify the following:
EVV allows verification of an employee’s location, hours of work for payroll and billing, visits being reported are actually taking place, and that the patients are getting the care they require.
